E-Commerce Operations Manager – Mexico
Position Summary The E-Commerce Operations Manager – Mexico is responsible for the daily operations and operational performance of the company’s e-commerce channels in Mexico. This position ensures that product catalogs, listings, inventory, orders, fulfillment processes, returns, marketplace systems, and platform accounts are accurate, efficient, and operated in accordance with established service levels and each platform’s requirements. Job Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of Amazon Mexico, Mercado Libre, the company’s website, and other assigned e-commerce channels. Maintain accurate and up-to-date product catalogs and listings, including SKUs, titles, descriptions, specifications, attributes, categories, images, variations, prices, warranty information, and fulfillment settings. Use relevant search terms and marketplace-listing best practices to improve product visibility while maintaining accurate information and compliance with applicable platform policies. Coordinate the setup of new products and SKUs and confirm that content, pricing, inventory, system configurations, and fulfillment information are complete before launch. Oversee the complete e-commerce order cycle, including receipt, system transmission, processing, preparation, shipment, delivery, cancellation, return, refund, and claim resolution. Monitor order flow and data accuracy between marketplace platforms, order-management systems, the ERP, warehouses, and logistics providers. Investigate and promptly resolve errors or integration failures. Coordinate with Supply Chain, warehouses, and third-party logistics providers to maintain accurate inventory availability, prevent overselling and stockouts, and ensure timely order fulfillment. Monitor fulfillment and delivery performance and resolve late shipments, failed deliveries, cancellations, returns, customer claims, chargebacks, and other operational exceptions. Monitor account and catalog health and platform-compliance requirements. Resolve suspended listings, missing attributes, duplicate listings, incorrect variations, content conflicts, and compliance violations. Track operational performance indicators, including order volume, inventory availability, fulfillment SLAs, on-time shipment and delivery, cancellation rates, return rates, order defects, account health, and issue-resolution time. Coordinate with Customer Service to resolve order- and product-related issues and identify recurring causes requiring corrective action. Work with Finance to reconcile marketplace transactions, fees, deductions, refunds, returns, claims, and operational discrepancies. Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards that identify service failures, inventory risks, cost concerns, system issues, and required corrective actions. Document workflows, standard operating procedures, business rules, and controls for e-commerce operations. Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements that increase accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and customer service. Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Finance, IT, and corporate teams to support product launches and operational priorities. Perform other related duties as assigned based on changing business needs. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, International Business, Engineering, or a related field. Five or more years of experience in e-commerce operations, marketplaces, omnichannel operations, order management, fulfillment, or a related operational area. Demonstrated hands-on experience managing product catalogs, inventory, orders, fulfillment, returns, and operational issue resolution. Experience operating Amazon, Mercado Libre, a direct-to-consumer website, or similar e-commerce platforms. Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Vendor Central, or Mercado Libre Seller Center is preferred. Working knowledge of order-management systems, ERP systems, inventory systems, marketplace integrations, and warehouse or logistics processes. Strong data-analysis and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple SKUs and operational priorities. Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with local and international teams. Experience in consumer electronics, durable goods, retail, or another industry with a high volume of SKUs is preferred. Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English is required.
