E-commerce Operations Manager (Amazon Seller Central)

Job summary

If you've run an Amazon Seller Central account for a brand or retailer, come run ours. You'll own our Amazon, Walmart and eBay results and lead the small crew that ships our orders. The job is on-site at our warehouse in Cartersville, GA, northwest of Atlanta. You'll report to the owner of Pilot Mall, a family-owned aviation retailer since 1998.

Own our marketplaces

• Own the results on Amazon, Walmart and eBay: sales, the Buy Box on our best sellers, seller ratings and account health.
• Run Amazon FBA. With the owner, decide what to send to Amazon. Then prep and label it, build inbound shipments in Seller Central, keep our top sellers in stock, fix stranded inventory, and file reimbursements.
• Keep listings right. List new products, keep titles, images and details accurate, and fix suppressed or inactive listings.
• Protect account health. Handle on-time shipping, valid tracking, returns, claims and customer messages on every marketplace before they turn into warnings.

Lead the team

• Lead the crew. Run three shipping and receiving teammates and one customer service rep: set daily priorities, train new people, keep quality high, and handle escalated customer issues and returns.
• Own our procedures. Keep our step-by-step procedures current and train the team on them.
• Run receiving and inventory. Check vendor shipments against purchase orders, chase late or short deliveries, and keep our inventory system accurate with bin locations and cycle counts.
• Protect same-day shipping. Orders by 3 PM ET ship today, and carrier problems get handled the same day.
• Help at our airshow events. SUN 'n FUN in Lakeland, FL every April, plus others. Some travel.
• Pitch in on the floor during busy days.

What success looks like after 90 days

• Every marketplace account in good standing, with no open warnings.
• Inventory planned and in stock on every marketplace.
• Order accuracy and on-time shipping tracked every week, and holding.
• Inventory counts that match the system.
• A short weekly update to the owner: what changed on each marketplace and what you're fixing.

What you bring

• Hands-on experience running a seller account in Amazon Seller Central: listings, account health, and FBA shipments you created yourself. This one is a must.
• Experience leading or training people. It doesn't have to be a manager title.
• Comfort with inventory and order management software and with spreadsheets. You won't need SQL or dashboards: we use AI tools for reporting and analysis, and you'll act on what they show.
• Attention to detail. Many of our products look alike, and one wrong plug type or part number means a return.
• Clear, direct communication. When something doesn't match, you stop and ask.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb a ladder, and be on your feet for long stretches, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice to have

• Walmart Marketplace, eBay or Shopify experience.
• An interest in aviation. Pilots are welcome, but it isn't required.

We sell pilot supplies, aviation headsets, training materials and aviation gifts on PilotMall.com, Amazon, Walmart and eBay. We're a small team in one building, and orders placed by 3 PM ET ship the same day.
