Job Purpose

The Dynamics 365 Business Central – Techno-Functional Consultant will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and continuously improving the Group's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and LS Central ERP across Retail and Wholesale FMCG operations.

The role will bridge business users and technical teams by translating business requirements into practical solutions through configuration, AL customization, integrations, and SQL Server. The position will also support ERP implementation, data migration, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live operations.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Implementation & Rollout

• Participate in end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation, including requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, and system configuration.
• Plan and execute data migration of master data, opening balances, and open documents with proper validation and reconciliation.
• Prepare test scripts and coordinate UAT with business users.
• Support go-live, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization across branches.
• Prepare process documentation and user manuals and conduct end-user training.

Functional Support

• Configure and support Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and Warehouse modules.
• Support B2B and B2C sales processes, including pricing, discounts, promotions, credit limits, returns, and credit memos.
• Manage inventory movements, transfers, item journals, physical counts, costing, and inventory-to-GL reconciliation.
• Support warehouse operations including receipts, shipments, put-aways, picks, bins, and multi-location stock control.
• Understand business processes and recommend practical system-based improvements.

Retail / POS Operations – LS Central

• Support Retail/POS operations, including store and POS setup, retail pricing, promotions, offers, statement posting, and replenishment.
• Resolve POS–ERP synchronization issues, statement posting errors, and store-level stock variances.
• Ensure consistent processes and data across multi-branch Retail and Wholesale operations.

Technical Development & Integrations

• Develop and maintain AL extensions, including tables, pages, reports, codeunits, and event subscribers.
• Build and support integrations using APIs/Web Services such as OData, SOAP, and REST.
• Manage extension deployment across sandbox and production environments.
• Support Business Central updates in coordination with the implementation partner.
• Configure report layouts, job queues, and system automations.

SQL Server, Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop advanced Microsoft SQL Server queries, including joins, CTEs, views, and stored procedures.
• Use Business Central database knowledge to trace transactions across ledger and document tables.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation, including sub-ledgers vs. GL, stock valuation, and POS vs. ERP.
• Analyze slow queries, reports, and processes and identify locking and indexing issues.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and data models for sales, inventory, and finance insights when required.

Troubleshooting & User Support

• Act as the first point of escalation for ERP issues and resolve them within agreed SLAs.
• Perform root-cause analysis at functional, code, and database levels.
• Coordinate with the implementation partner and Microsoft on escalated issues.
• Maintain issue logs, knowledge bases, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV.
• Practical experience in Retail and Wholesale FMCG operations .
• Strong techno-functional knowledge across Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and Warehouse modules.
• Good understanding of Retail/POS, B2B & B2C sales, pricing, promotions, inventory movements, transfers, returns, costing, and warehouse operations.
• Experience in ERP configuration, customization, integrations, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
• Good understanding of AL development, extensions, APIs/Web Services, and Business Central database structure .
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills, including advanced queries, joins, CTEs, views, stored procedures, performance analysis, and data extraction.
• Proven experience in ERP implementation, data migration, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live support.
• Ability to work independently and directly with business users and technical teams.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of Power BI , data analytics, dashboards, and data modelling
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure
• Experience with APIs and third-party system integrations
• Experience supporting multi-branch Retail and Wholesale FMCG operations
