Draftsman-Fit out

Job Purpose

To prepare and update technical drawings based on actual site conditions, coordinate with site teams, and ensure all drawings meet project specifications and execution requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects.
• Conduct site visits and take accurate site measurements.
• Prepare drawings for partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, doors, furniture, and joinery works.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Verify site dimensions and ensure drawings match actual site conditions.
• Update drawings based on site changes, consultant comments, and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed joinery drawings for doors, cabinets, wardrobes, counters, and other custom-made items.
• Coordinate with the factory and production team to ensure drawings are suitable for fabrication and installation.
• Identify discrepancies between approved drawings and actual site conditions and report them to the project team.
• Assist the site team in resolving technical issues during project execution.
• Ensure the latest approved drawings are available at the site.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, and approvals.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and approved design requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Draftsman in interior fit-out or joinery projects.
• Previous experience working on construction or fit-out sites is essential.
• Experience in preparing shop drawings, joinery details, and as-built drawings.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and interior design drawings.
• Good knowledge of fit-out materials, construction methods, and joinery details.
• Ability to take site measurements and convert them into accurate technical drawings.
• Knowledge of SketchUp or Revit is an advantage.

Required Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work at project sites and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage drawing revisions.
• Practical understanding of site execution and fit-out activities.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
