As a Door-to-Door Membership Recruiter, you'll help grow our membership by engaging with residents and sharing the impact of our work. Every new member helps us protect nature reserves, restore habitats and connect more people with the natural world, creating a wilder future for Staffordshire. What's involved? This is a rewarding role that combines outdoor working, community engagement and fundraising for a cause that matters. Using a friendly, low-pressure approach, you'll visit neighbourhoods across Staffordshire to introduce residents to the work of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, provide information about our conservation work, answer questions, and encourage them to become members You'll meet a wide variety of people, have meaningful conversations about nature and see first-hand the difference your work makes for wildlife across the county. Working independently Door-to-Door Membership Recruiters work independently within a designated area of Staffordshire, supported by an experienced Membership Recruitment Manager and wider fundraising team. The role typically involves working during late afternoons and evenings, making it ideal for people seeking flexible work alongside other commitments. Getting out and about This is an active outdoor role. You'll spend time walking between households and working outside in different weather conditions throughout the year. You'll need to be comfortable approaching and speaking with members of the public at their own front doors and motivated to achieve membership recruitment targets while maintaining a positive experience for residents. As the role involves travelling to locations across Staffordshire, some of which are not accessible by public transport, you will need access to a car or other suitable vehicle. Training and support No previous membership recruitment experience? No problem! We'll provide a full induction, office-based training and practical field training with experienced recruiters. You'll also receive regular coaching, support and development to help you succeed and build your confidence. You'll also have opportunities to visit our nature reserves and conservation projects, helping you see first-hand how membership support makes a difference. Who would enjoy this role? You'll receive a guaranteed minimum salary of £23,132 FTE, with the opportunity to earn significantly more through our uncapped commission scheme following successful completion of your probationary period. Contract We offer sessional, permanent or fixed-term contracts, designed to fit around your lifestyle and commitments. Tell us which you’d prefer when you apply.
