Duties

• Conduct outdoor canvassing by walking through designated neighborhoods to engage with residents directly at their doors
• Present information about our organization’s initiatives clearly and confidently, adapting your message to diverse audiences
• Collect feedback, answer questions, and address concerns from community members in a friendly and professional manner
• Utilize mobile devices to record interactions, update contact information, and track outreach progress efficiently
• Promote fundraising efforts or community programs through persuasive face-to-face conversations
• Build rapport with residents to foster trust and encourage ongoing support or participation
• Coordinate with team members to strategize outreach plans and share insights on community needs

Qualifications

• Previous field sales or canvassing experience preferred; strong background in marketing or community engagement is a plus
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect face-to-face in outdoor settings
• Demonstrated ability to motivate others, negotiate effectively, and handle objections confidently
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to reach diverse populations effectively
• Comfortable walking outdoors for extended periods; physical stamina is essential for success in this role
• Customer service experience helps in building positive interactions with community members
• Familiarity with mobile devices for data collection and communication purposes
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within outreach teams
