As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Donor Relations Associate to help us achieve our mission. The Donor Relations Manager is responsible for cultivating, managing, and strengthening relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and funding prospects to advance Foster Love’s mission. This role leads donor engagement, stewardship, retention, and cultivation efforts, manages an assigned donor portfolio, and drives meaningful relationships that sustain and grow philanthropic support. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, organized, proactive, and accountable for measurable results. Key Responsibilities Donor Engagement & Stewardship - Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of individual donors, including monthly donors, with responsibility for cultivation, retention, and increased giving. - Develop and execute personalized donor stewardship plans, including acknowledgments, impact reports, donor spotlights, and recognition initiatives. - Plan and coordinate donor events, tours, and engagement opportunities. - Partner with the Development and Marketing teams to direct donor-related content for newsletters, emails, and other communications. - Manage engagement and tracking for the monthly sustainer program and coordinate donor stewardship associated with corporate sponsorships and direct/digital mail campaigns. - Maintain timely and accurate CRM records of correspondence, phone calls, gift acknowledgments, and other donor interactions. Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising - Manage assigned corporate donor relationships, including outreach, stewardship, recognition, and renewal opportunities. - Identify, cultivate, and advance new corporate partnerships in coordination with the Development team. Research & Prospect Development - Lead prospect research on individual donors, corporate funders, and grant funders. - Analyze donor giving patterns to identify upgrade, re-engagement, and stewardship opportunities and translate findings into actionable cultivation plans. - Maintain accurate donor and prospect records and track progress in the CRM. Performance Expectations - Demonstrate progress in donor retention, engagement, portfolio growth, stewardship execution, and timely CRM documentation. - Contribute to Development department fundraising goals through consistent relationship management and prospect cultivation. Preferred Qualifications - Three to five years of relevant experience in donor relations, nonprofit development, fundraising, or relationship management. - Strong donor communication, project management, prospect research, and CRM skills. - Ability to independently manage priorities and collaborate across teams.
