We are looking for a Director of Security Technology to team up with the most dedicated team of cyber specialists. Today, we are around 450 employees – and as cybercrime grows, we need to grow. To support that goal, we are now looking for a Director of Security Technology for our Managed Service unit. The Role As Director of Security Technology, you will define and drive the Managed Services security technology vision, strategy and transformation roadmap. Your focus will be to accelerate the evolution of our security operations model — enhancing today’s expert-led SOC and MDR delivery with an increasingly AI-enabled, automation-driven and agentic operating model. The goal is to improve scalability, speed, consistency, detection and response effectiveness, analyst effectiveness, cost-to-serve and customer outcomes. We are not looking for a powerpoint wizard, but a hands on technology driven enthusiast. You will act as the primary Managed Services counterpart to Truesec’s Technology organization on security technology strategy, AI, automation and roadmap alignment. Because this transformation directly affects SOC workflows, roles and daily operations, you will work in close partnership with the Head of SOC, who owns SOC adoption, people readiness and sustained delivery quality. What You Will Do: - Define, maintain, develop and execute on the Managed Services security technology vision, with AI-enabled and agentic security operations as the strategic north star. - Accelerate ongoing transformation initiatives across AI, automation, orchestration, analytics and security operations tooling by teaming up with colleagues and hands on build the solutions needed to achieve it. - Translate the vision into clear technology principles, roadmap priorities and transformation themes. - Drive the roadmap toward a more scalable, AI-supported and automation-led operating model. - Define how humans, automation and AI agents should interact across triage, enrichment, investigation, escalation, response, reporting and quality assurance. - Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across Managed Services together with SOC, Security Engineering & Architecture, Service Owners and Technology. - Own Managed Services security technology roadmap input and translate SOC needs, operational pain points and customer outcomes into clear technology requirements. - Co-lead SOC technology adoption with the Head of SOC, including readiness, training, communication, feedback loops and quality controls. - Build trust in AI and automation through transparency, analyst involvement, human oversight and measurable quality outcomes. - Ensure technology capabilities support stronger detection and response outcomes, including investigation quality, threat discovery, response speed and consistency. - Support Service Owners with technology input for MDR, OT and related managed security services. - Establish technology-side governance, guardrails and human oversight requirements for AI-enabled and automated security operations. - Communicate strategy, roadmap progress, risks, dependencies and outcomes to Managed Services leadership and executive stakeholders. Your Potential Background We believe you are an experienced cybersecurity technology leader with a strong understanding of SOC, MDR and managed security operations. You know how to move from promising technology concepts to practical, scalable and trusted operational capabilities and have been implementing solutions on an operational, tactical and strategical level previously. You combine strategic thinking with operational realism and understand how technology impacts people, workflows, service quality and customer outcomes. You are comfortable accelerating and executing transformation in an environment where skilled experts, established delivery models and emerging AI capabilities need to work together. To succeed in this role, you likely have: - Extensive experience in cybersecurity technology, SOC/MDR, managed security services, AI-enabled security operations, automation, SIEM/XDR/EDR, cloud platforms or data platforms. - Strong understanding of SOC/MDR operating models and how to scale security operations through technology. - Experience defining technology strategy and translating business and operational needs into roadmaps. - Experience leading technology transformation, automation programs or operating model change. - Strong understanding, both theoretically and hands on, of AI-assisted security operations, workflow automation, orchestration and semi-autonomous or agentic operating models - Experience with automation, integration architecture, platform strategy and data-driven operational improvement. - Strong stakeholder management skills across technology, operations, product, commercial and executive teams. - Strong change management skills, including communication, involvement, training and feedback. - Ability to balance curiosity and innovation with scalability, security, cost, compliance, operational integrity and delivery feasibility. - Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. - High integrity and experience from confidentiality, compliance and security-sensitive environments. Due to the sensitivity in our assignments, we require Swedish citizenship, citizenship in an EU country, or a Swedish work permit.
