Director of Sales, Community Relations Director

The Emberly at Heritage GlenFort Worth, TX 76244

About Emberly at Heritage Glen

Emberly at Heritage Glen is a brand-new Assisted Living and Memory Care community in north Fort Worth near Alliance, and the flagship of a growing family of senior living communities across DFW. We're building something different here: a place where families feel the warmth the moment they walk in, and where every team member knows their work matters.

We're growing, and our sales team is growing with us. We're adding a second Director of Sales to help fill our community with the right residents and families, and we want someone who loves the chase as much as the close.

The Role

The Community Relations Director/ Director of Sales owns the path from first inquiry to move-in. You'll work every lead like it's the only one, build relationships with referral partners across the area, and turn tours into families who choose Emberly.

This is a hands-on, in-the-field role for an experienced senior living sales professional. You'll partner closely with our current sales director and community leadership, share accountability for occupancy goals, and help shape how we sell as we grow.

  • Location: North Fort Worth near Alliance (on site, with regular time in the community and the field)
  • Reports to: Executive Director / Community President
  • Type: Full time, exempt

What You'll Do

Lead follow-up and closing

  • Respond to new inquiries fast, same day every time
  • Work a disciplined follow-up cadence of calls, texts, emails, and handwritten notes until every lead has a clear next step
  • Run personalized tours that connect what we offer to what each family actually needs, and introduce prospects to team members and residents so they feel the warmth of the community firsthand
  • Uncover the real decision drivers (health changes, family dynamics, finances, timing) by listening and asking good questions
  • Guide families through objections with care, ask for the decision early and often, and close deposits and move-ins
  • Keep the CRM accurate and current, tracking every prospect from first contact through move-in
  • Stay on top of unit availability and the vacancy map so you always know what you're selling

Market follow-up and networking

  • Build and maintain a strong referral network with hospitals and discharge planners, rehab and skilled nursing facilities, physicians, social workers, home health, hospice, placement agencies, elder law attorneys, financial planners, and churches
  • Get out in the market every week with planned outreach visits and drop-ins, and follow up on every one
  • Represent Emberly at chamber events, health fairs, and local business organizations
  • Plan and host monthly on-site events that bring referral partners and prospective families through our doors
  • Know our competitors cold: their services, rates, and selling points, and how Emberly stacks up
  • Help build quarterly marketing plans and competitive analyses
  • Support our social media presence with timely, on-brand content

Move-ins and transitions

  • Walk families through move-in paperwork and make sure it's complete and returned on time
  • Coordinate with the Director of Health and Wellness to schedule resident assessments
  • Share move-in dates and key resident details with the team so day one feels seamless
  • Stay in touch with residents and families through the transition, and help manage move-outs with the same care
  • Work quickly to re-sell any cancelled deposits or contracts

Results and reporting

  • Meet or beat monthly targets for inquiries, outbound calls, tours, deposits, and move-ins
  • Track your pipeline and outreach activity and report on it weekly
  • Share what you're hearing in the market about competitors, pricing, and referral trends
  • Partner with our current sales director and leadership on campaigns and occupancy strategy
  • Mentor and support other team members on great customer experience and sales skills
  • Take part in the Manager on Duty and weekend coverage rotation
  • Protect resident and prospect confidentiality, and know our safety and emergency procedures
