Elevate the team. Create an exceptional patient experience. We are seeking an exceptional Director of Operations / Practice Manager to serve as a key leadership partner to the orthodontist/owner. This is not a traditional office manager position . We are looking for a true operational leader who can take ownership of the business side of the practice—leading people, improving systems, monitoring performance, and ensuring every patient and family receives an exceptional experience. The Opportunity Working closely with the orthodontist/owner, the Director of Operations will oversee: Team leadership, development, and accountability Daily practice operations and workflow Patient and parent experience Scheduling and operational efficiency Financial performance, collections, and key practice metrics New-patient growth and treatment conversion Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training Systems, processes, and continuous improvement Vendor and business relationships Maintaining a positive, professional, high-performing culture We are looking for someone who identifies problems, develops solutions, and takes ownership of implementation . What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: A confident and experienced people leader Highly organized, proactive, and accountable Comfortable with financial and performance metrics An excellent communicator with strong emotional intelligence Passionate about creating an exceptional patient experience Able to balance warmth and hospitality with high standards Comfortable having difficult conversations and holding people accountable Strategic enough to see the big picture while managing the details Someone who brings solutions—not just problems—to leadership Experience Ideal candidates will have: 3–5+ years of management or leadership experience Experience leading, developing, and retaining a team Strong business, organizational, and financial skills Experience with KPIs and operational performance Dental or orthodontic experience preferred Healthcare, hospitality, luxury service, or other high-touch customer-service experience will also be strongly considered What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will take ownership of the practice's operational performance and help improve: Patient and parent satisfaction Team engagement and retention Schedule efficiency New-patient conversion and treatment starts Production and collections Accounts receivable Operational efficiency Team development and accountability Overall practice profitability and growth Most importantly, the orthodontist/owner should feel confident knowing that the practice is being led, the team is being supported, the numbers are being watched, and opportunities are being acted upon.
