Job description:

We are looking for an Director to join our team and help manage our organization's operations. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must have experience working with animals in a veterinary or shelter setting. The Director will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, developing strategies to improve efficiency, and ensuring that all team members are meeting their goals.

Responsible for managing and executing King’s Harvest Pet Rescue’s marketing, outreach, and fundraising. This role focuses primarily on social media, donor communication, grant management, and coordinating fundraisers and community events. The Director supports the organization’s mission by managing operations, increasing visibility, community engagement, and seeking financial support.

Primary Responsibilities

• Managing a team of 20 or more employees
• Coordinate, plan, and support fundraising / community outreach events
• Managing job postings and hiring process
• Appear in live / pre-recorded news segments and interviews
• Researching and applying for grants
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and staff to ensure consistent communication
• Checking emails and answering Facebook Messages daily
• Answering the phone when needed
• Oversee the daily care and welfare of pets to ensure a safe and healthy environment

• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable using social media platforms
• Basic photography and video capture skills
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events
• Comfortable interacting with the public, donors, and volunteers
• Ability to maintain professionalism when representing the organizationRequirements
• College degree in marketing, business, or a related field; OR equivalent relevant work experience
• Previous management experience
• Previous experience working in an animal clinic, shelter or animal rescue
• Valid Driver's License
• Reliable transportation and ability to transport adoptable pets to events
• Comfortable navigating complex situations with clients and animals
