Head of Operations | Music & Synchronization

Company: Eighti Republic Industry: Music Production & Synchronization Licensing Company Stage: Early-Stage / Building Operations Compensation: Commission-Based / Revenue Participation — No Base Salary

About Eighti Republic

Eighti Republic is a newly established music production and intellectual property company focused on creating, managing, and monetizing original music through synchronization licensing, creative production, and distribution.

Through Eighti Sync, we are building an organized production network connecting artists, producers, A&R professionals, and operational teams to create music for potential placement in television, film, advertising, sports, and digital media.

We are currently in our foundational build stage. Our focus is establishing strong leadership, implementing scalable systems, assembling capable teams, and developing consistent creative output.

We are building the infrastructure, processes, and partnerships necessary to support long-term growth.

We are seeking individuals who are excited by the opportunity to help build an organization, rather than simply maintain an existing one.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Head of Operations to help establish, organize, and lead the day-to-day execution of Eighti's synchronization operations.

This is a foundational leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys creating structure, building teams, solving operational challenges, and turning business objectives into measurable results.

The selected candidate will work closely with executive leadership to develop operational processes, coordinate departmental activities, and ensure music projects progress efficiently from creation through licensing submission.

Because Eighti is in its build stage, this position requires flexibility, initiative, patience, and the ability to operate in an evolving environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Development & Leadership

  • Help establish and refine operational systems, workflows, and organizational procedures.
  • Coordinate daily activities across synchronization-focused departments.
  • Establish clear priorities, responsibilities, and accountability standards.
  • Identify operational gaps and recommend practical solutions.
  • Assist in building a scalable operational structure as the company expands.
  • Work directly with executive leadership to execute company objectives.

Synchronization & Production Operations

  • Oversee project workflows from initial music creation through final sync submission readiness.
  • Coordinate activities between A&R, Production Operations, Sync Operations, and Sync Administration.
  • Monitor production deadlines, active briefs, creative deliverables, and project completion.
  • Ensure creative teams understand production expectations and submission requirements.
  • Support efficient handoffs between production and administrative departments.
  • Track project progress and identify delays before they impact deadlines.

Team Building & Accountability

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new personnel.
  • Help establish a productive and accountable team culture.
  • Monitor departmental performance and completion of assigned responsibilities.
  • Coordinate operational meetings and communicate company priorities.
  • Identify staffing and performance challenges.
  • Help develop departmental leadership as operations expand.

Music Licensing Workflow Coordination

  • Work with Sync Administration to monitor submission readiness.
  • Ensure projects include necessary production files, stems, metadata, credits, and agreements before delivery.
  • Maintain visibility into active synchronization opportunities and project statuses.
  • Coordinate operational timelines with creative and administrative teams.
  • Support consistency and accuracy throughout the licensing workflow.

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize company technology to organize projects, assignments, and operational activity.
  • Monitor productivity, deadlines, and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain accurate project and departmental records.
  • Provide weekly operational updates to executive leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, collaboration, and output.

Qualifications

  • Experience in operations, music production, entertainment, project management, or team leadership.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate teams.
  • Familiarity with music production workflows.
  • Understanding of synchronization licensing or music publishing is preferred.
  • Comfortable working with technology, digital platforms, and collaborative tools.
  • Ability to take initiative without constant supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professional judgment.
  • Willingness to work within an early-stage organization where systems and responsibilities may evolve.

Who Will Thrive Here

We're looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys building systems and organizations from the ground up.
  • Understands that early-stage companies require flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • Is comfortable working with developing teams and evolving processes.
  • Can lead people while remaining directly involved in execution.
  • Values accountability, consistency, and communication.
  • Is motivated by long-term growth and measurable accomplishments.
  • Has a genuine interest in music, synchronization licensing, and creative business operations.

This position is not ideal for someone seeking an established corporate environment, a guaranteed salary, or a fully staffed department from day one.

Compensation

Eighti Republic is currently in its foundational build stage.

This position is structured around performance-based compensation and revenue participation.

  • No guaranteed base salary.
  • Compensation is tied to qualifying synchronization placements, project revenue, and other designated business activities.
  • Earnings are not guaranteed.
  • Specific percentages, eligibility criteria, and payment terms will be reviewed during the interview process.
  • Any compensation arrangements will be subject to applicable employment and wage requirements.

Candidates should understand that synchronization licensing revenue can take several months to materialize and that this is an early-stage business opportunity.

Hiring Process

Selected candidates may be invited to complete a brief operational evaluation assessing their ability to organize workflows, establish priorities, and coordinate team execution.

The evaluation may include reviewing a sample synchronization pipeline, identifying workflow improvements, and explaining how they would organize a developing team.

Why Join Eighti?

This opportunity offers the chance to help shape the operational foundation of a growing music company.

Rather than inheriting an established system, the selected candidate will contribute to building the processes, team structure, and operational culture that support Eighti's long-term objectives.

We value initiative, consistency, collaboration, and individuals who take ownership of their responsibilities.
