Arturo Palomba Gallery is seeking an accomplished Director of Immersive Art & Experiential Installations to establish and lead a new international programme dedicated to immersive, interactive and technologically advanced contemporary art.

The position combines artistic vision, technical production, international partnerships and commercial development.

The successful candidate will identify exceptional artists and creative studios, develop ambitious exhibition concepts and transform innovative artistic ideas into commercially viable installations.

Key Responsibilities

Artistic Direction & Programme Development

• Develop the Gallery's immersive and experiential art programme.
• Identify and collaborate with leading and emerging artists working across interactive installations, light art, projection mapping, spatial media and multisensory experiences.
• Commission original installations for galleries, museums, cultural institutions and private clients.
• Evaluate the artistic, technical and commercial potential of proposed projects.

Production & Technical Leadership

• Oversee the development and installation of complex immersive artworks.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of artists, designers, engineers, audiovisual specialists and production partners.
• Supervise technical feasibility, budgets, procurement, installation and maintenance.
• Ensure that projects meet professional standards for safety, accessibility and long-term operation.

Commercial & International Development

• Develop opportunities with museums, cultural destinations, developers, hospitality groups and private collectors.
• Structure proposals for commissioned artworks, permanent installations and temporary exhibitions.
• Negotiate project budgets, production agreements and commercial terms.
• Establish strategic partnerships across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Europe and Asia.

Leadership & Performance

• Build and manage an international network of creative and technical partners.
• Establish annual business plans and project pipelines.
• Monitor profitability, project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Report directly to the Founder and CEO. Candidate Requirements
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in immersive art, experiential exhibitions, new media art or complex cultural installations.
• Proven experience delivering technically demanding projects.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary art and emerging creative technologies.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and substantial project budgets.
• Commercial understanding of commissions, contracts and project profitability.
• Excellent English communication and negotiation skills.
• International professional network and willingness to travel.
• Experience in the Middle East is advantageous. Ideal Candidate
