In this pivotal role, you will spearhead efforts to secure funding, cultivate donor relationships, and elevate our organization’s visibility through innovative fundraising initiatives. Your expertise in nonprofit management, grant proposal writing, and digital marketing will drive sustainable growth and strengthen our mission-driven programs. Duties - Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including grant acquisition, major gift solicitation, planned giving, and annual campaigns. - Lead proposal writing efforts for federal, state, foundation, corporate, and individual grants to ensure timely and compelling submissions. - Manage donor relations by cultivating relationships through personalized communication, stewardship events, and recognition programs. - Oversee the management of donor and alumni databases using CRM software such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge to track engagement and optimize fundraising efforts. - Coordinate special events, including fundraising galas, community outreach events, and donor appreciation gatherings to enhance visibility and engagement. - Utilize digital marketing tools like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and social media platforms to promote campaigns, share success stories, and expand outreach. - Conduct research on potential funding sources and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth and partnership development. - Manage budgets for development projects ensuring efficient allocation of resources while meeting organizational goals. - Collaborate with internal teams on marketing initiatives that highlight program impact through email marketing campaigns and public relations efforts. - Lead volunteer management efforts related to fundraising events and donor engagement activities. Experience - Proven experience in nonprofit management with a strong background in grant writing, proposal development, and fundraising strategies. - Demonstrated success in securing major gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, or government agencies. - Extensive experience with database management systems such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge for donor tracking and reporting purposes. - Strong skills in digital marketing platforms including Mailchimp, Constant Contact, social media management tools, and email marketing campaigns. - Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling proposals and donor correspondence. - Experience coordinating large-scale events from planning through execution with attention to detail. - Knowledge of estate planning laws such as wills and trusts is a plus; familiarity with nonprofit industry grant writing standards is essential. - Ability to build strategic partnerships through negotiation, relationship management, and public relations efforts. - Familiarity with university or nonprofit sector environments enhances understanding of complex funding landscapes.
