Job Description: FormFactor is seeking an execution-focused Director, Global Manufacturing IT to lead the technology capabilities that enable our global manufacturing operations. Based in Farmers Branch, Texas, this role will serve as the senior IT leader supporting the buildout, qualification, and production ramp of FormFactor's newest manufacturing facility while providing leadership and direction for Manufacturing IT capabilities globally. The Director, Global Manufacturing IT will serve as a strategic partner to Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Facilities, and Supply Chain leadership, ensuring manufacturing systems, applications, automation platforms, and technology integrations support operational readiness, production objectives, and long-term growth. This role requires a hands-on leader who can build strong relationships with business stakeholders, drive execution across complex initiatives, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Success will be defined by the ability to establish credibility through execution, develop trusted partnerships with manufacturing leaders, and ensure technology effectively enables manufacturing performance, scalability, operational excellence, and future factory growth. Key Responsibilities: Manufacturing Systems Execution & Site Delivery - Lead the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of manufacturing technology solutions across FormFactor's global operations. - Serve as the primary IT leader supporting the Farmers Branch facility buildout, qualification activities, operational readiness, and production ramp. - Drive implementation and support of manufacturing systems, factory applications, automation solutions, operational reporting, manufacturing data platforms, and technology integrations. - Define and evolve manufacturing technology architectures that support reliability, scalability, resiliency, and long-term operational growth. - Ensure manufacturing systems are secure, reliable, and capable of supporting 24x7 manufacturing operations. - Establish support, monitoring, escalation, and recovery processes for business-critical manufacturing platforms. - Lead cross-functional issue resolution and drive accountability for technology initiatives impacting manufacturing performance, quality, operational readiness, and customer commitments. - Manage strategic relationships with vendors, implementation partners, and technology providers. Manufacturing Operations & Engineering Partnership - Serve as the primary technology partner to Manufacturing Operations and Manufacturing Engineering leadership. - Build trusted relationships across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Supply Chain, and other operational functions. - Participate in operational planning, site readiness reviews, qualification activities, capacity expansion efforts, and strategic manufacturing initiatives. - Develop a deep understanding of factory operations, manufacturing processes, engineering requirements, and business priorities. - Translate operational and engineering requirements into practical technology solutions that improve efficiency, quality, scalability, visibility, and factory performance. - Foster collaboration between Operations, Engineering, and IT to ensure alignment on business priorities and successful execution. Manufacturing Systems Reliability & Governance - Establish disciplined release management, testing, change control, and deployment practices that protect manufacturing operations while enabling business agility. - Lead major incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action efforts impacting manufacturing systems and production operations. - Drive continuous improvement of system reliability, platform stability, operational support processes, and service performance. - Develop governance processes that ensure manufacturing technology solutions are thoroughly validated before deployment into production environments. - Promote operational excellence through proactive monitoring, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Team Leadership & Organizational Development - Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Manufacturing IT organization. - Assess staffing needs and develop organizational capabilities to support future manufacturing growth. - Recruit, mentor, and retain technical talent supporting manufacturing applications, systems, integrations, automation, and operational support. - Establish clear ownership, accountability, and service expectations across the team. - Foster a culture centered on execution, partnership, responsiveness, innovation, and continuous improvement. IT Leadership & Governance - Serve as a member of the Global IT leadership team. - Ensure manufacturing solutions align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, compliance, and service management standards. - Lead manufacturing technology modernization initiatives that improve operational efficiency, system resiliency, and long-term scalability. - Balance operational urgency with long-term sustainability, governance, and risk management requirements. - Act as a trusted advocate for both Manufacturing Operations and the broader IT organization. Preferred Qualifications & Experiences: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. - Leadership experience supporting manufacturing technology environments. - Experience leading manufacturing systems implementations, facility expansions, production ramps, modernization initiatives, or major operational transformation programs. - Proven success partnering with Manufacturing Operations and Engineering leadership and delivering business outcomes through technology. - Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, factory automation, operational reporting, technology integrations, manufacturing data platforms, and production support models. - Experience leading cross-functional teams, complex projects, and vendor relationships. - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Experience within the semiconductor or advanced manufacturing industry. - Experience supporting wafer fabrication, assembly and test, or other complex manufacturing operations. - Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), factory automation, equipment integration, scheduling, or other production-critical manufacturing systems. - Experience leading manufacturing technology modernization initiatives and large-scale platform migrations. - Familiarity with manufacturing analytics, predictive maintenance, SPC, CMMS, and Industry 4.0 initiatives. - Experience supporting global manufacturing organizations operating in 24x7 production environments.
