Director – Global Air Procurement & Solutions

We offer a broad range of supply chain solutions from integrated logistics, international freight forwarding (air, ocean, road, rail and multimodal) and e-commerce to industrial project logistics and infrastructure investment.

Responsibilities

Formulate the overarching global air procurement and solutions strategy to drive corporate growth, market share, and long-term profitability

Direct global procurement and solutions teams while steering cross-regional senior matrix leaders to align global operational and commercial objectives

Orchestrate top-tier executive relationships with global airlines, securing high-value strategic block-space agreements (BSAs) and global volume-incentive programs

Champion the commercial productization of global air freight, leading high-stakes tender/RFQ solution design and rate strategies for major global accounts

Govern global pricing-desk policies, rate structures, and specification standards with final commercial authority on global capacity commitments

Spearhead key air freight transformation initiatives, including the strategic roll-out and adoption of enterprise airfreight digital tools

Transform global gateway consolidation networks and hub footprint to maximize capacity economics and optimize international trade lane routing

Partner with dedicated Vertical Product Heads (e.g., Healthcare, Semiconductor, DG) to align buying power with specialized industry solutions

Standardize global air freight service offerings and commercial vendor frameworks to ensure seamless service delivery across all worldwide operating units

Represent the global air procurement division in executive strategy sessions, collaborating with senior corporate leadership to resolve cross-domain priorities

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Sales & Marketing, or related disciplines (MBA is preferred)

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in air freight and logistics, including senior leadership exposure with global or multi-country scope

Demonstrate a strong track record in carrier procurement, capacity strategy, and negotiating high-value carrier programs (BSAs / Volume Incentives)

Exhibit solid expertise in commercial product development, pricing-desk governance, and tender/RFQ solution design

Prove success in functional ownership of airfreight v, gateway network footprint planning, or domain transformation projects

Display exceptional matrix management skills with the ability to lead direct teams and influence regional/country stakeholders

Apply strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities within a fast-paced global logistics environment

Maintain high standards of professional integrity, accountability, resilience, and adaptability to market changes

Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin

Showcase proficiency in MS Office suite and modern enterprise logistics management applications
