Our MediaVise® and MediaDice® systems are built here in Miramar. About the role — read this part carefully Our engineering team is growing, and we need someone to lead that growth rather than just manage it. We want to be straightforward: this is a demanding job. You'd be joining a lean team without a lot of existing scaffolding. There is no finished process playbook waiting for you — you'll build it while shipping product. If you want a role where the structure is already defined and you execute against it, this isn't that. If you want to be the person who builds the structure, with real authority and direct access to ownership, that's exactly what this is. You will be the senior engineering leader in the building, reporting directly to the CEO. What you'll do Lead and grow the hardware engineering team — electromechanical design, PLC/controls, and robotics/automation engineering — as headcount scales Build the engineering processes, documentation standards, design review framework, and team structure needed to support a growing product line; much of this doesn't exist in mature form yet Own end-to-end hardware product development from concept through production Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls integration across shredder and destruction device platforms Drive DFM/DFA discipline, design quality, and ECO/PLM rigor Own compliance with industry standards (NSA/CSS, NIST 800-88, DIN 66399, NAID AAA) Hire, mentor, and develop engineers; own performance management for the department Partner with Operations, QA, Production, and Field Service to align engineering with the rest of the business Balance competing priorities — production support, new product development, and process-building, often at the same time Required qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline 7+ years in mechanical or electromechanical hardware engineering 3+ years managing engineers directly, with hiring and performance responsibility SolidWorks proficiency is required — experience limited to Creo, NX, or CATIA will not be considered Strong GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, and FEA background Hands-on experience with motor, sensor, actuator, wiring, and control system integration PLM/PDM and engineering change control experience Able to work onsite in Miramar, FL five days a week Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship Preferred qualifications Experience building an engineering function, department, or process framework from scratch Industrial controls exposure — PLC (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff), HMI/SCADA, servos/VFDs Robotics integration and machine vision (Cognex, Keyence) FAT/SAT execution Low-volume, high-mix or capital equipment manufacturing background Experience in regulated, defense, or government-supplier environments Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Vision insurance Application Question(s): How many years of work experience do you have with SOLIDWORKS?
