Director of Ecommerce — DTC Wellness Brand
# Director of Ecommerce — DTC Wellness Brand **Soul** · Remote · `Remote` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 7 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role About the brand An eight-figure, profitable, founder-led DTC wellness brand on Shopify. Seven-figure monthly revenue, ~600k-person owned email/SMS list, eight years of customer data, and a hero product line that has been a category staple. A federal regulatory change on 12 December 2026 removes one product line from the market, and the business has already rebuilt its strategy around what comes next: a focused CBD range (a sleep gummy with a unique blend and a topical relief product) and a new low-dose THC gummy launching in December. The closeout of the outgoing line is fully planned and staffed and is not this role. This role is the growth engine for what replaces it. The mandate One number: add $400k/month in revenue and $200k/month in contribution margin (after sales and marketing) across three SKUs by Q1 2027, then keep scaling. You'll start with a ~$15k/month Meta budget on a fresh funnel, a 600k list to cross-sell into, an email agency, a CRO/design/dev agency and a creative pod already in place, and a weekly scorecard structure to run it all through. Three SKUs, three targets (~$133k revenue / ~$66k contribution margin each): the sleep gummy, the topical, and the low-dose THC gummy from launch. What you'll actually do This is not a media-buyer-with-a-title role and it is not a project manager role. Roughly 20–25% of your week is running the agencies and vendors; the rest is the thinking that makes them effective. - Own the customer. Build and maintain high-fidelity customer personas per SKU from first-party data (Outer Signal, GA4, Shopify, Klaviyo), validate them against purchase behaviour, and refresh them as evidence comes in. - Write the briefs. Turn personas into creative briefs (video, static, UGC), landing-page briefs and email/SMS briefs. The agencies execute; you decide what gets made and why. - Run the weekly scorecard. Revenue vs target, new-customer CAC/AOV/orders, repeat rate, contribution margin, creative and lander test results. You present the synthesis every week and make the calls that follow from it. - Own paid acquisition. Meta first ($500/day scaling to $50k+/month as economics hold), with a hard first-purchase CPA ceiling. Creative diversity, not budget, is the lever — you'll inherit an audit showing why. - Own lifecycle. Direct the email/SMS agency: segmentation of the existing list for cross-sell into CBD and the low-dose gummy, flow architecture, send cadence, revenue per subscriber. - Own the test plan. Landers (top-of-funnel and final-page), quiz funnels, offer structures, pricing and bundles — one experiment cadence across CRO, creative and email. - Manage the pod. Media buyer, creative producer, email agency, CRO agency. Clear deliverables, weekly accountability, no ambiguity about what a good week looks like. - Launch the new product. Own the December go-to-market for the low-dose THC gummy, including conversion of existing single-strength subscribers. What good looks like Month 1 Personas and briefs delivered for all three SKUs; landers and month-1 creative (6 video + 15 static per SKU) live; Meta funnel running at $15k/month; weekly scorecard owned end to end. Month 3 Meta ad spend scaled from $15k to ~$30k/month while holding first-purchase CPA under target; two winning creative concepts and one winning lander per SKU; CBD cross-sell flows live to the existing list; on pace for the Q1 target. Month 6 $400k/month added revenue and $200k/month added contribution margin sustained; low-dose gummy launched and converting legacy subscribers; test cadence running without founder involvement. Month 12 Growth engine scaled beyond the initial three SKUs; next product lines (functional, skincare) brought into the same operating system with clear owners and scorecards. You're a fit if - You have 4+ years growing DTC consumer brands — supplements, wellness, cannabinoids or adjacent — and have personally taken a brand or SKU from launch to $1M+/year in Meta-driven revenue. - You think in unit economics: CAC, contribution margin, payback, LTV by cohort. You can defend a budget decision with a spreadsheet, not a vibe. - You've written creative briefs that produced winning ads, and you know the difference between 50 ads and 8 genuinely distinct concepts. - You've run agencies and freelancers and got more out of them than they expected to give. - You are comfortable in restricted categories: you know how to sell an ingredient story when platform policy won't let you name the ingredient. - You're hands-on in Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Ads Manager, GA4 and a spreadsheet, and you can use AI tooling to do a week's analysis in an afternoon. - You want a clear number, a clear structure and the autonomy to hit it — and you're honest, early, when you're behind. Not a fit if - You need a large in-house team to feel effective. - You're a channel specialist who wants to stay in one channel. - You prefer strategy decks to weekly numbers. - You've never operated with a hard CPA ceiling and a profit target. What we offer - Very Competitive base plus a uncapped performance bonus tied directly to the contribution-margin target you own. - Fully remote; founders in the US and Europe; agencies across the US and LATAM. - Direct access to the founders and full visibility of P&L. Decisions get made weekly, not quarterly. - A brand with real customers, real data and real margin — not a pre-revenue bet. Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year Benefits: - Employee discount - Flexible schedule - Health insurance - Paid time off Application Question(s): - 1.What has changed most in DTC e-commerce during the past 12 months? 2.What creative approaches are working in Meta advertising right now? 3.What Meta and Google budgets have you personally managed? 4.Describe an underperforming account you improved and the measurable result. 5.Describe a successful creative, offer, pricing or bundle test you developed. 6.How do you determine whether a campaign is genuinely profitable? 7.Describe a Shopify conversion problem you personally corrected. 8.How would you coordinate paid media, organic social, email, SEO, GEO and Amazon? 9.If a customer asks Google or ChatGPT to recommend the best portable or lightweight playpen, how would you improve our likelihood of being recommended? 10.What would you personally audit during your first two weeks?
