Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County is seeking a Director of Administrative Operations to lead the administrative systems that support our programs, staff, and families across multiple locations. For more than 50 years, Neighborhood Centers has partnered with children, families, and communities through programs focused on Early Childhood, Youth Development, Family Support, and Community Engagement. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in strengthening the operational systems that keep our programs running smoothly and effectively. About the Role Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Administrative Operations oversees enrollment, attendance tracking, participant records, program reimbursements, office operations, and organizational systems across multiple sites. This position supervises a team of administrative professionals and works closely with program directors, finance staff, and organizational leadership to ensure processes are accurate, efficient, and sustainable. Key Responsibilities - Supervise, coach, and support administrative staff, including Office Managers and Office Assistants. - Oversee enrollment, registration, participant records, and documentation systems. - Ensure accurate attendance tracking, reporting, and data management across programs. - Manage administrative processes related to Child Care Assistance (CCA), the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) , and other reimbursement documentation and claims. - Establish and maintain consistent administrative procedures across all sites. - Support licensing reviews, audits, monitoring visits, and compliance requirements. - Oversee office operations, records management, supplies, and administrative support functions. - Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, communication, and organizational efficiency. - Collaborate with program and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and reimbursement processes. Qualifications We're looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented leader with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications include: - Associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, human services, or a related field. - Three or more years of administrative, office management, program administration, or related experience. - Previous supervisory experience. - Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, spreadsheets, and electronic record systems. - Experience with Procare, CCA, CACFP, nonprofit operations, early childhood education, afterschool programs, or other publicly funded programs is a plus. - Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively across departments and locations.
