# DevOps Engineer Lead - Mandaluyong City Office **HHI** · Mandaluyong · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 10 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Engineering People Manager – SRE / DevOps Job Type: Full-time Work Setup: On-site / Shift-based Shift: Rotating shifts, including night shifts Team Size: 8–12 Site Reliability Engineers About the Role: We are looking for an Engineering People Manager to lead a team of 8–12 Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) across their entire employee journey—from onboarding and development to performance, wellbeing, and career progression. With 60–70% of the team at junior level, you will play a key role in developing engineers into confident, capable senior professionals. This is a 24x7 operation, so the Engineering People Manager will rotate shift bands with another manager, including night shifts. Key Responsibilities: People Management & Performance - Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, goal setting, and development planning. - Address attendance, collaboration, conduct, and performance concerns proactively. - Monitor fatigue, wellbeing, and shift-health indicators to reduce attrition and operational risk. Capability & Training - Maintain capability and skills records for all team members. - Create individual training plans aligned with service-line requirements. - Ensure training is scheduled within the team's rota. Resourcing & Shift Management - Manage team rosters, leave approvals, relief coverage, and overtime. - Lead onboarding for new hires and Academy graduates, including tools, processes, and shift-work readiness. - Maintain consistent people-management practices across all shift bands. Talent & Career Progression - Participate in interviews and hiring decisions. - Assign mentors and identify potential successors within the team. - Support promotion and career progression cases in partnership with technical and service leaders. Qualifications: - With at least 5+ years of experience in SRE or DevOps - With at least 2+ years of experience as a People Manager, Team Lead, or similar leadership role - Strong technical understanding of Linux, Kubernetes, Public Cloud platforms, Observability/monitoring tools and Incident management processes - Proven coaching experience, with examples of engineers who progressed under your leadership. - Willingness and availability to work rotating shifts, including night shifts. - Strong communication skills and confidence handling difficult performance or behavioral conversations. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
