We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team in Seoul and India. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of our automated build and deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and application monitoring systems. This role requires a technically rigorous individual who can work independently, communicate findings clearly, and consistently propose improvements that raise the reliability and efficiency of our systems. As a member of a cross-functional team, the DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with software developers, quality assurance engineers, and product stakeholders. A working proficiency in English is required, as the role involves reading international technical documentation, communicating with external vendors, and participating in periodic cross-regional meetings. Key Responsibilities Pipeline Automation and CI/CD - Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD - Automate build, test, and deployment workflows to minimize manual intervention and reduce the risk of human error - Establish and enforce GitOps practices for consistent, auditable infrastructure and application deployments - Identify and resolve bottlenecks in existing pipelines to reduce overall build and release cycle times Application Monitoring and Observability - Deploy and manage monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, the ELK stack, or Datadog - Define and maintain service-level indicators, objectives, and agreements in collaboration with product and engineering leadership - Develop and maintain operational runbooks and escalation procedures for production incidents - Lead post-incident reviews, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence - Proactively analyze system metrics and trends to identify potential issues before they impact end users Infrastructure Management and Infrastructure as Code - Provision, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Terraform or Pulumi - Administer Kubernetes clusters, including workload scheduling, network policy, autoscaling, and resource optimization - Maintain configuration management tooling using Ansible or equivalent solutions - Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud resource utilization and associated costs Security and Compliance - Integrate security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines, including static analysis, container image scanning, and dependency auditing - Manage secrets, credentials, and sensitive configuration using HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or equivalent - Ensure infrastructure and application configurations comply with internal security policies and any applicable regulatory requirements - Apply least-privilege principles consistently across IAM roles, service accounts, and network access controls Continuous Improvement and Collaboration - Regularly evaluate existing tools, processes, and architectures and present concrete recommendations for improvement - Produce and maintain clear documentation covering infrastructure design, operational procedures, and architectural decisions - Support development teams in improving local development environments and reducing environment-related inconsistencies - Participate in architecture and design reviews, contributing a DevOps and reliability-focused perspective - Communicate technical status, incident updates, and improvement proposals in English when required, both in writing and verbally Required Qualifications - Three or more years of professional experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure engineering role - Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or a comparable platform - Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in a production environment - Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure - Strong scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python, or Go - Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack - English language proficiency sufficient for reading technical documentation and for written and verbal professional communication Preferred - Industry certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer - Experience implementing GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux - Familiarity with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd - Background in chaos engineering practices and tools - Experience managing database infrastructure and coordinating schema migrations within a DevOps workflow Primary Technology Stack Candidates should have experience with, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, technologies in the following areas: - Cloud Platforms: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure - Containers and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm - CI/CD and GitOps: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD - Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible - Monitoring and Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, PagerDuty - Scripting and Programming: Python, Bash, Go - Security Tooling: Trivy, HashiCorp Vault, SonarQube - Version Control: Git via GitHub or GitLab
