In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations by building robust CI/CD pipelines, managing containerized deployments, and enforcing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices. A critical component of this position requires deep knowledge of local regulatory environments; you will ensure all deployments and data architectures adhere strictly to Qatar’s data privacy and sovereignty laws, utilizing the Azure Qatar Central region to maintain compliance with the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) frameworks and National Information Assurance (NIA) policy. Key Responsibilities - Cloud Infrastructure Management: Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable environments using Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, API Management). - Compliance & Data Sovereignty: Enforce sovereign cloud controls—including data residency, encryption at rest with customer-managed keys, and robust access management—to comply with Qatar's NIA policy and local statutory laws (e.g., Law No. 13 of 2016). - CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Build, optimize, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, and GitHub Actions. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources using Terraform, Bicep, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. - Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy, secure, and manage containerized applications utilizing Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). - Monitoring & Site Reliability: Establish proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems via Azure Monitor and Application Insights to guarantee system uptime, performance, and rapid incident response. - DevSecOps Integration: Embed automated security protocols, vulnerability scanning, and identity governance (Microsoft Entra ID) directly into the deployment lifecycle. Required Qualifications - Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a heavily automated Systems Administration role. - Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, focusing on networking, compute, storage, and security configurations. - Regulatory Acumen: Strong understanding of Qatar’s specific cloud hosting rules and information assurance frameworks, ensuring enterprise data remains securely within national boundaries. - Scripting & Tooling: Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) and mastery of Git version control. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
