Development Manager Job Description Sociedad Latina is seeking a dynamic Development Manager to join our Development Team, charged with advancing the organizational mission by securing financial resources and crafting a compelling case for support. This position provides an exciting opportunity to solicit institutional funders through grant writing and research and support the organizational fundraising plan. Our Development Manager will report to the Executive Director and work with the Board of Directors, Leadership Team, and the entire staff. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position with benefits. Experience and Qualifications ● Bachelor’s Degree in English/Writing, or other relevant area of study, required ● 3+ years of experience as a Development/Grants Manager required ● 4+ years of experience with grant writing required ● Knowledge of grants databases, including Network for Good, Access, Salesforce, etc., preferred ● Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse races/ethnicities, sexual orientation, gender identity, cultures, age groups, religion, country of origin, disability and economic status ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills ● Demonstrated commitment to Sociedad Latina’s mission of supporting Latine youth and families Responsibilities ● Lead fundraising efforts to support the organizational budget, including securing institutional grants and cultivating individual donor relationships ● Write and submit high-quality letters of intent, proposals, and reports to institutional funders, meeting internal and external deadlines ● Compose and submit program budgets to institutional funders, meeting internal and external deadlines ● Manage grants database and Development server, including inputting award decisions, saving award letters, pulling reports, and writing acknowledgement letters ● Support the Executive Director with meeting the annual fundraising plan and issuing quarterly Board reports ● Meet with the Executive Director for supervision meetings and other Development planning meetings ● Plan and implement strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individual donors ● Supervise Development Associate, including with their grant writing and reporting; Supervise consultants as needed ● Oversee Social Media & Marketing Consultant ● Support with other fundraising tasks as needed, including individual donors and event sponsorships ● Collaborate with the Finance Department to develop grant budgets and ensure accurate grants/finance reconciliation Salary and Benefits: ● Full Time- 40 Hour Position, $65-$73k, depending on experience ● Sociedad Latina offers a competitive benefits package including, but not limited to, sabbatical after 5 years, holiday, vacation, personal, and sick paid time, health insurance, and an optional retirement plan. ● Remote position (residing in Massachusetts), with a requirement of 1 day per week in the office aside from mandatory in person events and meetings To Apply Email a cover letter, resume, two grant writing samples, and three professional references, including one from a former supervisor within the past two years, to hiring@sociedadlatina.org Sociedad Latina is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, height, weight, or marital status in employment or the provision of services.
