Duties Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications across various platforms, ensuring high performance and user experience excellence. Lead application modernization initiatives by migrating legacy systems to modern architectures utilizing microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile software development methodologies to deliver iterative improvements and innovative features. Develop scalable systems by applying system design principles, design patterns, and best practices in software engineering. Implement front-end development using JavaScript frameworks like React and Express, coupled with back-end services built on Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, or C++. Integrate APIs and third-party services to enhance application functionality while ensuring security through RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and other security protocols. Utilize version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, and Git for code management; set up CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment. Optimize applications for scalability and performance in cloud environments like AWS while maintaining robust SQL databases such as MySQL and system integration with REST APIs. Skills Strong expertise in IT infrastructure management including cloud infrastructure (AWS), Linux environments, and network considerations. Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, Java, Python, C++, C, VBA, and Ruby on Rails for diverse application development needs. Deep understanding of software design principles, system design for system development, scalability strategies, and microservices architecture. Experience with web development frameworks such as React and Express for front-end development; knowledge of RESTful API design is essential. Familiarity with agile software development practices including Scrum or Kanban; experience with version control systems like GitHub and SVN. Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL and SQL Server; ability to optimize queries for performance enhancement. Understanding of security protocols including RBAC; experience implementing secure APIs using REST standards. Exposure to quantum engineering concepts is a plus but not mandatory; a passion for continuous learning is highly valued.
