Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and analysis of structural components for buildings projects. Perform calculations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with senior engineers and construction teams to deliver cost-effective and safe structural solutions. Coordinate with the contracts department to provide rates and slab thicknesses for new tender projects based on preliminary designs. Identify value engineering options during the tender stage and adjust quotations accordingly. Stay updated on industry standards and develop innovative methodologies and solutions. Perform complete PT slab designs and provide markups for draftsmen. Review drawings prepared by draftsmen to ensure accuracy and compliance. Conduct peer reviews of designs prepared by co-designers. Attend meetings and coordinate with MEP teams, contractors, clients, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution. Develop detailed structural slab designs using RAM Concept, adhering to BS codes, ACI codes, TR 43, and Eurocodes. Provide technical support to site staff, highlight critical elements, assist in construction sequencing, and address out-of-tolerance elongations. Review project-specific method statements prepared by the QA/QC department. Verify and submit stressing reports, prepared by the operations department, to contractors. Support in project documentation, report writing, and client communications as required. Conduct site visits and inspections to support project execution and quality assurance.
