About the Role

We are looking for a Design Assistant / Junior Draughtsperson to support our Head of Design across interior design and fit-out projects. This is one combined role covering drafting, presentations, coordination, follow-ups and meeting scheduling.

You will work closely with and shadow the Head of Design, providing technical and administrative support while gaining practical project experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise AutoCAD drawings, layouts, elevations and details under the Head of Design’s guidance.
• Read and interpret drawings to support design coordination and project follow-ups.
• Assist with presentations, mood boards, material boards and design documentation.
• Schedule meetings, coordinate appointments and maintain the Head of Design’s project calendar.
• Attend meetings, record minutes and follow up on assigned actions and deadlines.
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and contractors regarding drawings, samples and outstanding information.
• Maintain organized drawing files, revision records and project documents.
• Accompany the Head of Design to site visits, supplier visits and client meetings as required.
• Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to support design activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Drafting or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and a sound understanding of technical drawings.
• Ability to prepare clear, professional design presentations.
• Strong communication, organisation and follow-up skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assigned tasks.
• Willingness to handle both drafting and administrative responsibilities.
• Previous exposure to interior design or fit-out projects is an advantage.
• A valid UAE driving licensee is preferred.
