Job Description

Capital Engineering Consultancy is looking for an experienced and talented Design Architect to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in architectural design within an engineering consultancy, with experience in residential, industrial, and commercial building projects.

The candidate should be proficient in developing architectural concepts, preparing detailed design drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, schematic designs, and detailed design proposals for residential, industrial, and commercial building projects.
• Prepare architectural drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable UAE building regulations, authority requirements, and relevant design standards.
• Prepare and review design presentations, 3D visualizations, and architectural layouts as required.
• Review project specifications, design briefs, client requirements, and contractual documents.
• Develop space planning solutions, façade designs, building layouts, and functional architectural concepts.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, draftsmen, and other design team members to ensure timely project delivery.
• Review architectural drawings and documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Incorporate client feedback, design revisions, and authority comments into architectural drawings and submissions.
• Assist in preparing architectural documentation for authority approvals and permit submissions.
• Identify design conflicts and propose practical, cost-effective architectural solutions.
• Maintain consistency in design quality, drawing standards, and project documentation throughout all design stages.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical support to internal teams and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines while maintaining design quality and technical standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant architectural design experience .
• Previous experience working with an engineering consultancy is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in residential, industrial, and commercial building projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant architectural design and visualization software.
• Good knowledge of architectural design principles, construction documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations and authority approval processes.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet design submission deadlines.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
