Deputy Manager – Stores & Logistics

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager – Stores & Logistics to oversee logistics, freight forwarding, warehouse, and inventory operations while driving process improvements and digitalization.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics, Freight & Compliance

• Manage end-to-end international freight forwarding and marine logistics, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of equipment, materials, and supplies to vessels, customers, and project sites.
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations, international shipping protocols, TDRA requirements, and company QHSE standards; oversee accurate preparation of logistics documentation (Invoice, Packing List, AWB, COO, BOE).

Stores & Inventory Management

• Oversee warehouse receiving, storage, and dispatch; maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic stock audits to ensure availability and control.

Systems, Process & AI-Led Automation

• Act as the department's subject-matter expert on modern logistics systems and AI-enabled tools; evaluate, pilot, and deploy automation (e.g., RPA, intelligent document processing, automated tracking/reporting) to replace routine, manual tasks.
• Drive process standardization, SOP development, ERP optimization, and continuous improvement across Stores & Logistics functions.

Risk, Vendor & Team Management

• Monitor logistics activities to identify and mitigate risks related to delays, customs clearance, and supply chain disruptions.
• Supervise stores and logistics personnel, ensure adherence to SOPs, and monitor vendor and service-provider performance.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain audit-ready records and provide regular reporting on shipment status, inventory, and operational performance.

Requirements

• MBA/Postgraduate qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
• 5–6 years of managerial or team leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in international freight forwarding and marine logistics.
• Knowledge of UAE ports, customs clearance, free zones, and GCC logistics regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Automate, AI, RPA, or logistics automation solutions is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, analytical, vendor management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
