Delivery Management, Director (Germany)

We are seeking a Director-level Delivery Manager to ensure the end-to-end successful delivery of a portfolio of complex programs, projects and workstreams for our key clients in Germany. The ideal candidate has an extensive background in one of the manufacturing, industrial or automotive industries and a proven reputation for leadership in delivering large-scale software engineering solutions for major industry players.

You will be accountable for overall delivery, client satisfaction and expectation management, ensuring that all work is on strategy, on time and within budget. You will work alongside globally renowned, award-winning engineering and technology teams. Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end delivery across a portfolio of accounts and programs

• Ensure governance of delivery management processes in line with the selected delivery model
• Act as the single point of responsibility for all delivery-related matters, including escalations and upsells
• Become a trusted partner of the client, resolving their problems by leveraging EPAM’s global capabilities
• Bring industry and domain knowledge to understand the client’s business context and resolve their problems
• Build, develop and lead delivery teams, including managing direct reports and leading without formal reporting lines
• Ensure the right skills and seniority are staffed according to the delivery roadmap
• Provide technical leadership, ensuring future-proof architecture and high quality standards
• Coordinate across multiple disciplines, locations and stakeholders, building consensus in a complex organizational environment
• Establish and grow long-term strategic partnerships with clients at senior management level
• Address client issues and manage engagement risks proactively
• Drive pre-sales activities: prepare proposals and statements of work, participate in bids and contribute delivery and technical expertise to win new business
• Position and drive AI-enabled solutions and delivery approaches with clients and within delivery teams

Requirements

- Extensive experience delivering large-scale, complex programs, with a strong track record in one of the manufacturing, industrial or automotive industries

• Recognized reputation with major enterprises, OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers in these industries for driving successful large-scale initiatives
• Proven experience leading multi-team, multi-account delivery, including P&L, budget and margin responsibility
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering, AI-native software development and AI solutions (e.g. machine learning, generative and agentic AI)
• Experience gathering and translating client business requirements into technology solutions
• Well-versed in various delivery approaches, especially agile and scaled frameworks
• Solid pre-sales experience, including shaping solutions, commercial models and SOWs
• Understanding of security, compliance and data protection requirements in regulated enterprise environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a consensus-driven culture
• Fluent German and English are essential
