Job Summary:
Leads delivery of the EDU program's data products from definition through release and consumer adoption. A majority-technical role with a program-management skill set: the holder must be able to read and challenge a data model, a semantic definition or a pipeline design, and must also run an integrated plan, a risk register and a steering-group pack to Global PMO standard.
Breaks the program's quarterly milestones into executable releases, convenes domain SMEs and system SMEs per project, and makes sure each product is released with a named owner, named consumers and defined DATSIS. Builds the evidence base (ways of working, intake, standards, council decisions, adoption metrics) on which the operating-model decision will be taken before month 18.
The Data Products Program Lead manages execution of the Enterprise Data Unification (EDU) program, delivering governed enterprise data products that enable AI use cases. Initial products include Location 360, Product 360, and supporting product-chain event data products. Reporting to the business-side EDU lead and partnering with the IT Data Products Delivery Lead, this role owns product scope, definitions, acceptance, and consumer readiness, while IT owns platform and data delivery. The model reflects the future state of business-owned data products supported by IT-managed data aggregation. The program follows the Global PMO governance framework, with plans, resources, risks, dependencies, and KPIs managed through standard PMO reporting. The Stakeholder Group consists of registered data product consumers.
Experience:
- 8+ years in program or technical program management, with at least 3 years leading enterprise data, MDM or data-platform programs.
- Has stood up a data product or data governance program from the start at least once: defined the products, the ownership model, the intake and the release process, and delivered them.
- Demonstrated delivery of large, cross-functional initiatives with hard dependencies on other programs and on IT platform work.
- Experience transitioning or consolidating master and transactional data between systems (for example CRM or ERP migrations, MDM implementations, registry builds).
- Worked directly with data architects and system architects on logical and semantic design, and with data science teams consuming the output.
- Experience driving organizational adoption of new data products or operating models, including readiness and communication planning.
- Track record of setting, measuring and reporting program KPIs under a corporate PMO framework.
- Medical device, life sciences or regulated-industry experience, and exposure to product data and customer data domains, are a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Business or a related discipline
- A graduate degree in a quantitative or data discipline is a plus.
- PMP, PgMP, Agile or Scrum certification is a plus.
- Hands-on familiarity with a cloud data platform (Snowflake), an MDM tool (Informatica, CDM) and a governance or catalogue tool (Collibra) is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of the enterprise data lifecycle: transaction layer, master data and identity registries, data integration and pipelines, physical, logical and semantic layers, data catalogues.
- Able to read, build on and challenge a data model, a semantic definition and a dataset; comfortable in SQL against a cloud data platform.
- Understands what makes a data product governed and certified: named ownership, defined consumers, DATSIS, lineage, quality thresholds, release versioning.
- Program discipline to Global PMO standard: integrated planning, dependency management, risk and issue management, KPI definition and reporting, recovery planning.
- Strong facilitation and workshop leadership across business domains and IT; able to drive a decision in a room of VPs with competing priorities.
- Stakeholder management and influence across a complex, multinational matrix without positional authority.
- Strategic thinking: connects each release to the layered architecture and to the enterprise outcomes the program exists for.
- Business and execution mindset: anticipates obstacles, brings proposals, and shifts focus as priorities change.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication for executive and technical audiences.
- Independent self-starter who manages multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Team player who lives CVI's values: Dedicated, Innovative, Friendly, Partner and Does the Right Thing; complies with company policies and procedures.
Work Environment:
- Normal office or remote office environment; extended periods working at a computer.
- Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job.
Extensive contact with employees across business domains, IT, regional data and BI leads, and external partners (assessment facilitator, analyst firms, platform vendors).

Program Planning and Global PMO Reporting
- Translate the EDU roadmap and quarterly milestones set by the program drivers into releases with defined scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria and KPIs.
- Build and maintain the integrated program plan and schedule, including dependencies on other programs.
- Report plans, resources, risks, dependencies and KPIs into Global PMO oversight in the standard format and cadence; no parallel tracking.
- Prepare steering-group and Program Director packs; track decisions, actions and commitments through to closure.
- Identify schedule slippage early, propose recovery plans and escalate to the program drivers or steering group as needed.
- Run the program budget line (program management contract, T&E, validation and assessment spend) with the cost-center owner.
Data Product Delivery
- Own the delivery lifecycle of each data product: definition, attribute scope, source mapping, semantic rules, build acceptance, release and versioning.
- Ensure each product has a named owner, named registered consumers and DATSIS defined before release; publish release notes and catalogue entries.
- Work with the Data Products Delivery Lead and system architects on registry-first MDM in phase one (identity registry plus consolidated golden views in the aggregation layer) and on the semantic layer the products expose.
- Keep the data science team's AI use cases on the product release path, so each AI use case is built on a released product and not on a side extract.
- Protect the layered architecture: products are built at or above the compute boundary and exposed through APIs and agent protocols, not inside transactional systems.
Cross-Domain Coordination
- Act as the integration point across the four transactional-layer domains (Product Lifecycle & Compliance; Order-to-Cash & Supply Chain; Commercial Engagement; Corporate Functions) and the IT delivery team.
- Convene the BPA/SMEs nominated by BPMT VPs per domain and the BSA/SMEs nominated by BPO VPs per IT system, and run them as the Core Team per project.
- Surface cross-domain semantic conflicts and route them to the semantic council for decision; implement the decisions in product definitions.
- Identify and manage interdependencies with Program Nexus, Courtyard and other consumer programs; make sure plans stay aligned.
Consumer Onboarding and Adoption
- Run intake for registered consumers: capture required attributes, agree acceptance criteria, sequence MVP scope and v1 release to all registered consumers.
- Develop and run readiness, communication and adoption plans for consuming teams, including regional data and BI leads.
- Track adoption and usage of released products and feed consumption evidence back into prioritization.
- Support transition of released products into business-as-usual ownership and stewardship.
Operating-Model Evidence
- Codify the ways of working the program establishes: intake, standards, stewardship, council decision rights, release process.
- Capture lessons learned and operating-model findings at each quarterly milestone and compile the evidence pack for the operating-model decision.
Contribute to the north-star validation and the facilitated distance-to-north-star assessment as program representative.
-
Travel Requirements:
- Less than 20% travel. Occasional attendance at domain workshops, steering-group sessions and offsite meetings, including the UK (Delta Park / Vision Centre) and Victor, NY.
