This role is critical in building scalable data infrastructure, enabling advanced analytics capabilities, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization. Scope of Work and Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouse architectures on Microsoft Azure. - Support the adoption and implementation of modern data engineering tools and frameworks, including Azure Data Factory and Databricks. - Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. - Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver robust data solutions. - Develop high-level and detailed technical designs for data architecture and integration solutions. - Apply software engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, deployment automation, and CI/CD methodologies. - Participate in Agile delivery frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban ceremonies. - Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and recommend enhancements to improve platform capabilities and performance. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities Data Platform Architecture & Engineering - Design and implement modern data platforms on Azure. - Build scalable data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions. - Develop and maintain enterprise-grade data lake and data warehouse environments. - Ensure security, governance, and compliance standards are incorporated into platform design. Data Integration & Pipeline Development - Develop and maintain data pipelines using Databricks, Python, PySpark, and Azure-native services. - Integrate data from various enterprise sources, including SharePoint Online, Excel files, databases, APIs, and other business applications. - Ensure data quality, reliability, performance, and operational stability across data workflows. Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps - Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and related technologies. - Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and associated deployment tools. - Support cloud infrastructure optimization, monitoring, and performance tuning. Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with business users, data consumers, product owners, and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Contribute to architecture reviews, solution planning, and project delivery activities. Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and modernization of the data platform. - Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance scalability, security, and efficiency. - Promote engineering best practices and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Deliverables - Scalable and secure Azure-based data platform solutions. - Automated data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines. - Technical architecture and solution design documentation. - Infrastructure-as-Code templates and deployment configurations. - CI/CD pipelines supporting efficient development and release processes. - Data integration services and APIs supporting enterprise reporting and analytics. - Monitoring, performance optimization, and operational support documentation. - Collaboration and support for cross-functional project teams. Qualifications Education - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience & Technical Skills - At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, software engineering, or related roles involving the architecture, design, and development of integrated systems. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. - Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure DevOps and CI/CD implementation. - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform. - Experience developing data integration microservices using Python or TypeScript. - Strong experience building modern data platforms and data warehouse solutions using Databricks, Python, and PySpark. - Practical experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL. - Experience integrating data from SharePoint Online, Excel files, APIs, and other enterprise systems. - Knowledge of Power BI semantic models, DAX, and REST API integrations is an advantage. - Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks. - Relevant certifications in Azure, Databricks, DevOps, Secure Coding, or Agile methodologies are highly desirable. - Experience working within collaborative teams of five or more members. - Ability to engage effectively with executives, stakeholders, and multicultural teams. - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Work Arrangement - Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Manila Time). - Work Setup: Hybrid arrangement requiring onsite reporting at least three (3) times per week. - Additional onsite reporting may be required based on business or project needs, and compliance with such requirements is expected. - Opportunity to discuss work arrangements and role expectations during the interview process. Pay: Php600.00 - Php900.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Work Location: Hybrid remote in Pasig
