Location: Field based ( Head Office-Chertsey ) Employment Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role We are seeking a motivated and skilled Data & Fibre Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, termination, and testing of data cabling and fibre optic networks using industry testers, primarily Fluke manufacture. You will work on a variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, and corporate environments, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7, testing and fault finding. Conduct fibre splicing, testing and fault-finding. Build and test network infrastructure to client specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings and site plans. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with all health and safety regulations. Provide detailed job documentation/end of day reports. Support team members and liaise with clients professionally. Requirements · High security clearance will be required. CNCI or Equivalent – Beneficial. Proven experience in structured cabling, copper and fibre optic installations. ECS data comms qualification – Mandatory. IPAF/PASMA – Beneficial but not essential. Manual handing, Asbestos awareness, Working at height – Beneficial but not essential. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
