You will be part of a dedicated team, contributing to the redesign, optimization, and modernization of the entire data workflow. Responsibilities Analyze and understand existing ETL jobs developed in Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle). Redesign and migrate data pipelines to the latest version. Develop scalable data pipelines using PySpark and Spark SQL. Optimize performance and ensure data quality throughout the migration process. Implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and validation. Collaborate closely with architects and technical stakeholders. Document solutions and provide support during and after the transition. Required Skills 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer. Strong ETL knowledge and hands-on experience with Pentaho Data Integration. Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Databricks is a plus). Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar). Ability to understand complex data flows and translate them into modern, efficient solutions. Nice to Have Experience with Apache Spark, PySpark, Databricks, and Delta Lake. Soft Skills Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ownership mindset with a solution-oriented approach. Adaptable, detail-oriented, and proactive.
