Data Center Manager
Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day critical data center operations, including facility engineering, infrastructure, asset and security operations. Oversee and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with required service levels and operational standards. Manage colocation data center service providers and ensure contracted service levels, performance standards and operational requirements are consistently met. Monitor service delivery performance against agreed SLAs, operational targets and customer service indicators, and drive corrective actions where required. Lead critical environment operations, including technical due diligence, incident management, root cause analysis and operational risk assessment. Lead and develop the operations team, foster effective teamwork and maintain a positive and professional working environment. Analyze operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency and service quality. Identify potential operational risks and concerns, and proactively implement appropriate risk mitigation and management measures. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers to ensure safe, reliable and uninterrupted data center operations. To collaborate and communicate directly with Chinese speaking officers, stakeholders, counterparts, and customers in China HQ team. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. At least 8 years of relevant experience in data center operations, critical facilities or other mission-critical environments, with hands-on experience in data center infrastructure and facility operations. Experience in managing data center facilities, including electrical and mechanical systems, critical infrastructure and related facility equipment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage operational issues effectively in a complex and fast-paced environment. Experience managing third-party vendors or colocation service providers and monitoring service performance against contractual SLAs would be an advantage. Proficiency in Mandarin is essential to ensure effective communication with the Chinese-speaking stakeholders, including head office, business counterparts, and customers based in China.
