# Data Analyst (Organic Trade, Compliance & Market Analytics) **Cambio Consulting Group** · Remote · `Remote` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 3 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role USDA’s oversight of the organic marketplace depends on integrating data that lives in different places: organic trade flows, Customs and Border Protection import data from the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), NOP’s complaint and investigation records, accreditation data, appeals data, and market research. The Data Analyst brings these sources together to identify trends, surface risks, and give NOP leadership clear, decision-ready analysis — roughly one significant analytical project per month, plus a monthly complaint and investigation trend report. This role is about analysis, not tool-building: the work uses existing USDA data and existing tools (Excel, Power BI or similar, and standard analytical software) to answer questions the program needs answered. Core availability for interaction with USDA staff is 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday. Government-furnished laptops are provided. RESPONSIBILITIES: Integrate and analyze data across organic trade, ACE import records, compliance and enforcement, accreditation, appeals, and market research sources Produce a monthly data and trend analysis of complaints and investigations Deliver approximately one significant analytical project per month as assigned by NOP (e.g., import risk profiling, certifier performance comparison, supply chain anomaly analysis, market condition assessments) Perform data validation and quality control on structured and semi-structured datasets Translate findings into clear narrative summaries, tables, and visualizations for program and leadership audiences Support market research on domestic and international dynamics affecting organic supply chains and program integrity Collaborate with the compliance, accreditation, and appeals analysts to answer data questions arising from their casework REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, agricultural economics, data science, public policy, or a related quantitative field 3+ years of applied data analysis experience, preferably supporting a government program, regulatory function, or trade/market analysis Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas) and experience with at least one of: Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or R Experience working with large datasets, including cleaning, validating, and reconciling data from multiple sources Demonstrated ability to identify trends and communicate data-driven insights to non-technical decision-makers in writing and visually Ability to handle sensitive and Privacy Act–protected data PEFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with U.S. trade or customs data (ACE, Census trade data, HTS codes, import/export records) Familiarity with agricultural supply chains, commodity markets, or the organic sector Experience supporting compliance, enforcement, or risk-based targeting analytics Master’s degree in a quantitative field Cambio's Public Sector Practice helps executives and managers at all levels of government maximize performance and efficiency in the face of ever tightening budgets and increased demand for services.
