Cyber Security Manage

Role Description The Cyber Security Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls across systems and data. Day-to-day activities include monitoring security alerts, coordinating incident response, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing vulnerability management. The Cyber Security Manager will collaborate with finance and accounting teams to safeguard financial data, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and support audits related to information security. The role also involves providing guidance and training to staff on cybersecurity best practices and contributing to continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess risks, interpret complex data, and support informed security decisions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Finance and Financial Services to understand financial processes, data flows, and associated security requirements.
• Candidates should possess Accounting and Auditing skills to collaborate on secure financial reporting, control testing, and regulatory compliance.
• Relevant experience in cybersecurity management, information security, or IT risk within finance or education-related environments is beneficial.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) and experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection) is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field; professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment with cross-functional teams.
