Customs Operations Team Leader
We're growing our offshore operations team in the Philippines and looking for a Customs Operations Team Leader who brings both strong people leadership and licensed customs expertise to oversee our B2C Customs Processing team. About the Role As Team Leader, you will oversee daily Customs Shipment Team operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant shipment processing. You will manage workloads, resolve operational issues, and lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve service, quality, and performance targets. You will also support QA, reporting, training, and cross-functional coordination with IT, Billing, and Operations. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily processing of assigned shipment types (Air, Ground, ACE, ACI) and carrier lanes to ensure accuracy and on-time completion Ensure shipments are processed within SLAs, prioritizing urgent shipments to avoid delays and AMPS penalties Monitor and enforce compliance with CBSA regulations, customs documentation standards, and company policies Lead, coach, and support Customs Analysts and Clerks toward individual and team goals Perform quality audits on processed shipments and drive corrective coaching based on findings Facilitate onboarding, training, and development of new and existing team members Investigate and resolve shipment rejects, customs/system errors, and manifest discrepancies Monitor daily KPIs, team scorecards, and prepare operational reports Act as a point of escalation for client, carrier, and internal concerns Provide coverage for other Team Leaders during absences or rest days as needed What You Bring Licensed Customs Broker (required) Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Business, Logistics, or a related field Minimum 3 years of experience in customs brokerage, entry processing, or a related field At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity Strong working knowledge of CBSA regulations, CARM, and B2B/B2C customs entry workflows Familiarity with customs and shipment processing systems (e.g., ACE, ACI) Strong people leadership skills — coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution Sound analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Pay: From Php40,000.00 per month Benefits: Free parking Health insurance On-site parking Opportunities for promotion Promotion to permanent employee Work Location: In person
