Location: South West London — primarily on-site, with customer site visits Working pattern: Full-time Proposed salary: £45,000–£55,000 per year, depending on experience and agreed responsibilities You will lead daily operations and manage jobs from customer enquiry through measuring, specification, quotation, production, installation coordination and final payment. Responsibilities - Measure customer sites and prepare specifications, fabric calculations and costed quotations. - Order materials and produce clear workroom instructions. - Coordinate production priorities, installation and delivery commitments. - Lead the making team and maintain quality standards. - Manage customer and designer communication, approvals, changes and complaints. - Track job costs, deposits, invoices and outstanding payments. - Maintain accurate job records and provide concise reports to the owners. What we are looking for - Practical experience in bespoke curtains, blinds or soft furnishings. - Confidence in measuring, fabric calculations, specification and estimating. - Experience coordinating workroom production or managing furnishing projects. - Strong customer communication, team leadership and commercial judgement. - Ability to organise daily operations independently, use spreadsheets and attend customer sites. Curtain-making or installation experience would be valuable. Acquisition condition and paid handover The new FDO employing entity is being established. Any appointment is subject to the acquisition completing, the employing entity being established and employment terms being agreed. The intended start is during a paid handover, working alongside the outgoing operating lead before assuming responsibility for daily operations. The start date and handover arrangements remain to be confirmed. The legal employing entity will be identified before any employment offer is made.
