  • Establish packaging architecture standards for brand hierarchy, product variants, flavor identification, claims, and consistent shelf presentation.
  • Direct external design agencies and creative partners throughout concept development, design refinement, and final execution.
  • Collaborate with brand management, packaging development, regulatory, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs meet applicable requirements, retailer expectations, and production specifications.
  • Drive packaging innovation that improves shelf visibility, consumer navigation, and overall brand impact.

Digital Commerce & Scalable Design Systems

  • Develop standardized global design templates and visual assets for e-commerce and digital marketing applications.
  • Establish design standards for retailer product detail pages, product imagery, hero images, enhanced product content, social media, and paid digital advertising.
  • Ensure product visuals and digital content meet retailer specifications and platform requirements.
  • Create scalable tools and templates that enable regional marketing teams and agency partners to produce high-quality, on-brand assets efficiently.

  • Lead external creative and design agency relationships, including partner selection, briefing, creative reviews, project scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Build and maintain effective creative resources, including internal design capabilities, freelance talent, and agency partnerships, as appropriate.
  • Present creative strategies and recommendations to senior leadership, incorporating business priorities, consumer insights, and market trends into design decisions.

Brand Governance & Operational Excellence

  • Establish clear global creative review, approval, and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized digital asset library containing approved brand assets, templates, and design resources.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of packaging, marketing materials, and digital channels to identify inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Introduce processes that reduce unnecessary design revisions, accelerate creative execution, and improve cost efficiency.
  • Monitor design effectiveness and establish performance measures tied to brand consistency, creative efficiency, consumer engagement, and commercial impact.

Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

  • Partner closely with brand managers, marketing leaders, sales, e-commerce, packaging development, regulatory, and supply chain teams.
  • Build strong relationships with regional and global stakeholders to drive adoption of shared design standards.

  • Several years of demonstrated leadership experience directing creative teams, design functions, or external agency partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Brand Design, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Significant experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), food and beverage, or another consumer-facing product industry strongly preferred.
  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating the development and implementation of brand identity systems, packaging architecture, and design standards across multiple products or markets.
  • Proven ability to build scalable design frameworks and translate brand strategy into consistent, high-quality creative execution.
