Cost Accountant

We are looking for a experienced Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing company in Dubai Investment Park (DIP).

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, particularly in cost accounting, manufacturing costing, inventory control, and stock handling. Candidates must currently be based in the UAE and have relevant UAE work experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

The candidate should be capable of handling daily accounting operations, monitoring production costs, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting the overall finance and accounts department.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and monitor product costing, production costs, and cost analysis.
• Calculate and monitor raw material, labour, and production overhead costs.
• Maintain and monitor inventory records, stock movements, and stock balances.
• Coordinate with the store and production departments to ensure proper stock control.
• Monitor raw material consumption, finished goods, and work-in-progress inventory.
• Conduct regular stock reconciliation and assist with physical stock counts.
• Prepare purchase, sales, expenses, and journal entries.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of invoices, vouchers, and other financial records.
• Assist with VAT-related documentation and other accounting requirements.
• Perform other general accounting and administrative duties as assigned by Accounts Supervisor and Finance Manager.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience in cost accounting and stock/inventory handling is mandatory.
• Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE.
• Previous UAE work experience in a similar accounting or costing role is required.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: AED 5,000 – 5,500 (depending on experience and qualifications).
