Cost Accountant
The Cost Accountant plays a key role in managing and analyzing costs to support budgeting, financial reporting, and operational decision-making. This position helps drive cost efficiency by monitoring expenses, evaluating variances, and ensuring accurate inventory and cost records. What You’ll Do: Prepare and maintain cost accounting records, reports, and systems to ensure accurate financial data. Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to determine product or service costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. Monitor standard costs, perform variance analysis, and provide insights on deviations from budgets or benchmarks. Reconcile inventory balances and ensure accurate inventory valuation and costing. Support budgeting, financial reporting, and other cost control initiatives that improve operational efficiency. What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. Experience in cost accounting, manufacturing, healthcare, or a related industry is an advantage.
