Responsibilities of Legal Manager: Negotiate, draft and review agreements, and any other relevant documents Ensure the Group’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), Companies Act 2016, and laws on anti-bribery and anti-corruption Research, review and advise on legal issues (case law, legislation, regulations) relevant to the Group and provide training and periodic updates where necessary Draft, review and periodically update Group policies (Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, Personal Data Protection Policy and others) Support the compliance function within the Group where required Be part of the Due Diligence Working Group for certain corporate exercises Providing general commercial legal support to the Group, including: (a) developing precedent agreements and templates; (b) attending to contract negotiations; (c) advising on dispute resolution and legal issues affecting business operations; (d) assisting in managing litigious matters and liaising with external solicitors; (e) supporting the legal department on all legal-related matters concerning the Group Qualifications /Requirements for the role Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with minimum 4 to 7 years of working experience, in private practice and/or in-house counsel role Experienced in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines Strong interpersonal, organisational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia Proactive, detail-oriented, a team player with a pleasant personality, and the ability to work independently when required Job Type: Full-time Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month Benefits: Health insurance Maternity leave Opportunities for promotion Parental leave Professional development Work from home Ability to commute/relocate: Bukit Jalil: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: legal: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
