IKONIKA is a fully vertically integrated control system integrator and electrical contractor, based in Fife, Washington. We design, build, program and modernize control and electrical systems for food and beverage processors, manufacturers and vessel operators. Engineering, panel building, installation, commissioning and long-term support are all in house.

The role

In the last two years IKONIKA has grown, acquired a second business and moved every system to the cloud. The next step is a finance function built the same way: one structure across the entities, live job costing on every project, and a close that runs on automated processes. You will design it and build it. We help customers RESTORE CONTROL of their plants, and this role brings that approach to our own numbers.

You will own the books, the monthly close and the job cost numbers across about 60 open projects. You will report to the President and work with our part-time CFO, contract administrator and bookkeeper.

On site in Fife. Full time, salaried. $105k to $135k

What you will do

Day to day - You will run the finance function and keep it current.

• Close the books every month.
• Run job costing and the WIP schedule in QuickBooks Online.
• Report a P&L for each entity and business line, with monthly KPIs.
• Keep the cash and profit forecasts current.
• Run certified payroll for public works jobs.
• Automate finance processes with QuickBooks Online, SmartSuite and AI.

Big picture - You will give the business the numbers it steers by.

• Show leadership where the business makes and loses money, by customer, sector and type of work.
• Set the KPIs the business runs on, and benchmark them against industry peers.
• Work with the President on pricing, investment and growth decisions.

What you will show us

Most people who can do this have about 3 years in accounting, including electrical, construction or similar contracting. Bring real examples:

• A close you ran, and how you made it faster.
• A job cost report or WIP schedule you built.
• A finance process you automated, and the time it saved.
