We are currently seeking a skilled Controller / Bookkeeper to join our team at our Mississauga office. Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller / Bookkeeper to oversee the financial operations of PatCom Medical Inc. This role will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day financial activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and subsidiary ledgers. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes. Prepare and submit government remittances, including HST/GST returns and payroll source deductions. Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Identify areas for process improvements and implement streamlined accounting procedures. Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive management, to achieve company goals. Qualifications: Must be a certified Quickbooks Online Advisor Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is preferred. Proven experience as a Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Quickbooks Online Excellent understanding of Canadian and American accounting regulations and tax laws. Solid understanding of financial statement analysis and financial reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Prior experience in the healthcare industry is an asset.
