This is an opportunity for an independent recruiter who enjoys working directly with business leaders, sourcing hard-to-find talent, and delivering results. Our priority positions are already posted on LinkedIn. We need someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of the recruiting process, and help us secure the talent needed to support our aggressive, profitable growth. We are open to contracting directly with an individual recruiter rather than engaging a traditional staffing agency. Key Responsibilities - Take ownership of recruiting efforts for multiple priority positions. - Proactively source qualified candidates through LinkedIn, direct outreach, referrals, professional networks, and other creative channels. - Identify and engage passive candidates who may not be actively looking for a new opportunity. - Conduct initial candidate screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managers. - Work directly with Elektro Assemblies leadership to understand position requirements and prioritize recruiting efforts. - Manage candidate communications, interview scheduling, follow-up, and pipeline reporting. - Maintain recruiting momentum and identify opportunities to improve candidate attraction and hiring speed. - Help move qualified candidates through the process from initial contact to accepted offer. Initial Recruiting Priorities The assignment will focus on our existing LinkedIn job postings, including: - General Manager - Senior Manufacturing Engineer / Engineering Manager - Manufacturing / Process Engineer - General Accounting / Office Administration Additional openings may be included as business priorities evolve. What Success Looks Like We want a recruiter who is accountable for measurable progress, not simply posting jobs and forwarding resumes. Success during the 60–90-day engagement will be measured by: - Building a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for each priority position. - Consistently presenting qualified candidates who meet agreed-upon requirements. - Generating a steady flow of candidate interviews with our leadership team. - Maintaining clear visibility into recruiting activity, candidate status, and next steps. - Helping Elektro Assemblies fill priority positions as quickly and effectively as possible. - Establishing a recruiting process that supports our continued growth. Specific weekly activity targets and hiring goals will be agreed upon at the beginning of the assignment. Ideal Candidate - Proven success recruiting professional, technical, manufacturing, and leadership talent. - Strong direct-sourcing skills and experience engaging passive candidates. - Comfortable recruiting for multiple positions simultaneously. - Self-directed, organized, persistent, and results-oriented. - Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. - Comfortable working directly with company executives and hiring managers. - Experience with small to mid-sized manufacturing businesses is a plus. - Available to begin quickly and commit to an initial 60–90-day engagement. Engagement Structure - Contract duration: Initial 60–90 days, with potential extension by mutual agreement. - Location: Elektro Assemblies, Red Wing, Minnesota. - On-site expectations: Target two to three days per week on-site, with flexibility for remote sourcing, screening, and candidate follow-up. - Working relationship: Embedded directly with Elektro Assemblies leadership and hiring managers. - Compensation: $45-$55/hr. based on experience and proposed engagement structure. A performance-based completion bonus may also be considered for successful hires. - Engagement type: Direct independent contractor arrangement, subject to mutually agreed terms.
