The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for athletes and active individuals, with a focus on sports injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage acute and chronic sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions . Conduct comprehensive sports medicine assessments and develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans. Manage muscle, ligament, tendon, joint, and overuse injuries . Perform and interpret appropriate clinical investigations and imaging. Provide ultrasound-guided procedures and injections where appropriately trained. Develop injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-sport programs . Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, radiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals . Conduct pre-participation and fitness assessments for athletes. Support athletes with performance optimization and exercise prescription . Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow evidence-based guidelines. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical education, and quality-improvement initiatives. Requirements MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree . Recognized specialist/consultant qualification in Sports Medicine or an equivalent relevant specialty. Valid DOH (Department of Health - Abu Dhabi) license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain one. Significant post-specialization experience in sports medicine and musculoskeletal care . Strong clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of sports injuries. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Expertise Experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided injections, sports injury rehabilitation, regenerative medicine, exercise medicine, athlete screening, injury prevention, and return-to-play protocols will be advantageous.
