This is an opportunity to build or expand a private psychiatry caseload within a well-supported clinic, without the administrative demands of running your own practice. Our model brings together psychiatry, psychology and dietetics within the same clinic, allowing clinicians to maintain their professional autonomy while having access to other disciplines when collaborative care would benefit the patient. We are open to psychiatrists seeking anything from one regular consulting day per week through to a larger ongoing private practice commitment. You may already work in public mental health, another private setting or a hospital role and be looking to add private consulting without taking on the burden of establishing and managing your own rooms. There is flexibility around the presentations you choose to see and the balance between initial assessments, diagnostic work and ongoing psychiatric management. Areas of particular referral demand include: ADHD Autism Anxiety and mood disorders Trauma and PTSD Eating disorders Complex presentations Diagnostic assessment and treatment planning Ongoing psychiatric and medication management Multidisciplinary care One of the strengths of Pre-Emptive Healthcare is the ability to work alongside other experienced clinicians within the same practice. Our team includes psychologists, clinical psychologists and a dietitian, with an established psychiatry service already operating within the clinic. This creates opportunities for coordinated care where appropriate, including psychological therapy, psychiatric review and dietetic support, while each clinician retains responsibility for their own professional practice and clinical decision-making. For psychiatrists working with complex presentations, ADHD, autism or eating disorders, having other disciplines within the same clinic can make referral and communication considerably easier. Remuneration We offer a competitive percentage-based subcontractor arrangement, negotiated according to experience, availability and scope of practice. The arrangement is designed to provide psychiatrists with the benefits of private practice, including established referrals, administration, rooms and practice infrastructure, while maintaining a high level of clinical independence.
