This role offers the opportunity to oversee high-end construction initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality environments. As the Construction Superintendent, you will coordinate all onsite activities, manage teams effectively, and uphold rigorous safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Duties - Lead and supervise construction activities on luxury hotel sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications. - Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless communication and workflow. - Review construction drawings and technical documents to interpret project requirements accurately and resolve any discrepancies promptly. - Manage daily onsite operations, including scheduling work crews, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA and federal construction safety standards. - Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Prolog, HeavyBid, and other tools to plan, track, and report project progress effectively. - Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work for compliance with blueprints, specifications, and industry standards; address issues proactively. - Monitor construction schedules closely using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools; coordinate schedule updates to keep projects on track. - Enforce safety protocols rigorously by conducting site inspections with tools like ohmmeters when necessary; ensure all team members follow OSHA regulations and construction safety management practices. - Manage project budgets by tracking costs against estimates; implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety. - Supervise crew management efforts by recruiting skilled laborers, providing clear direction, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment. - Maintain comprehensive documentation including daily reports, incident logs, change orders, and safety records to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project. Experience - Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent managing luxury hotel or high-end commercial construction projects. - Extensive knowledge of heavy civil construction practices combined with familiarity in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. - Strong background in construction scheduling using Primavera P6 or equivalent software; ability to coordinate complex timelines effectively. - Demonstrated expertise in managing teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards aligned with OSHA regulations. - Hands-on experience with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, and Primavera; adept at leveraging these tools for project tracking and reporting. - Well-versed in contracts administration, budgeting processes, quality control procedures, and regulatory compliance related to federal construction safety regulations. - Excellent managerial communication skills with a track record of supervising diverse crews on large-scale projects. - Knowledge of blueprint reading and technical drawing review essential for ensuring precise execution of design intent. - Prior experience supervising multiple subcontractors simultaneously while maintaining strict adherence to project schedules and safety protocols is highly desirable.
