You will coordinate employees and subcontractors, communicate with clients, track schedules and budgets, and make sure the work meets our quality standards. This position combines field supervision, project coordination, and people management. The right person brings construction experience, follows through on details, and leads with a firm but respectful approach. You should also be willing to jump in and help with project tasks when needed. Responsibilities Project Planning and Coordination Review contracts, plans, and scopes of work to understand project requirements. Conduct pre-construction meetings with clients to clarify expectations, schedules, and selections. Create and maintain project schedules, adjusting staffing and sequencing as needs change. Collect daily employee updates and send the following day’s assignments each afternoon. Coordinate subcontractor schedules and assist with pricing and contract details. Track permits and inspections and coordinate required follow-up. Arrange for materials and pick up supplies when needed to keep work moving. Team Leadership Supervise employees’ attendance, productivity, workmanship, and jobsite conduct. Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable with fairness and respect. Resolve employee conflicts and maintain a positive, professional work environment. Address and document performance concerns, involving leadership when appropriate. Promptly address and report serious safety or conduct concerns in accordance with company policies. Participate in new-hire interviews alongside company leadership. Assist with project work as needed and within your skills and qualifications. Client Communication Keep clients informed through text messages, email, and in-person conversations. Address concerns professionally and communicate changes to schedules or project plans. Help clients track selections and decisions using Google Drive. Assist with documenting and coordinating change orders. Conduct quality-control walkthroughs and coordinate completion of punch-list items. Project Oversight Monitor project progress, labor, materials, and costs against the schedule and budget. Identify potential delays, scope changes, and quality issues early. Provide regular updates to company leadership, including concerns and proposed solutions. Maintain current punch lists, material lists, and records of additional work in Google Drive. Coordinate staffing across projects to support timely completion. Promote safe, clean, and organized jobsites. Qualifications Construction experience and a practical understanding of residential remodeling. Ability to read construction plans and understand project scopes. Working knowledge of applicable building codes, permits, and inspection requirements. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work with different personalities and skill levels. Ability to organize multiple projects, competing priorities, and changing schedules. Clear, professional written and verbal communication. Sound judgment when addressing client concerns, employee issues, and project setbacks. Ability to use Google Drive and learn the tools needed to maintain project records. A team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a construction project manager, superintendent, lead carpenter, or working foreman. Experience managing residential kitchen and bathroom remodels. Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing change orders.
