As we continue building 10–15 custom homes per year and growing, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to bring structure, accountability, and operational leadership to our production team. This is a key leadership role with direct impact on project performance, profitability, and company growth. Position Overview The Operations Manager will oversee all construction operations, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to Premier Quality Homes’ high standards. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Buildertrend , job costing, scheduling, and team accountability. You will work directly with our team to strengthen systems and protect margins. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership - Oversee scheduling and production across all active custom homes - Lead weekly production meetings with clear metrics and accountability - Ensure consistent execution of company standards in the field Buildertrend & Systems Management - Serve as the internal Buildertrend expert and champion - Maintain accurate schedules, budgets, change orders, and financial tracking - Develop standardized workflows for scheduling, POs, selections, and client communication - Use reporting to track cycle times, job cost variance, and gross margin performance - Train team members and enforce proper system usage Financial & Margin Oversight - Monitor job costing and variance weekly - Protect and improve gross margins - Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective action - Support forecasting and capacity planning Trade Partner Management - Strengthen relationships with trusted subcontractors and vendors - Grow our sub-contractor base - Ensure trades meet schedule, quality, and professionalism standards - Support pricing negotiations and performance accountability Client Experience - Ensure communication standards are upheld - Support smooth execution from contract to closing - Protect the Premier Quality Homes brand at every touchpoint What We’re Looking For - 5+ years residential construction experience (custom preferred) - 2+ years hands-on Buildertrend or a similar builder software program and can adapt easily. - experience (required) - Strong understanding of scheduling, job costing, and margin control - Leadership presence and ability to hold others accountable - Process-driven, organized, and detail-oriented - Comfortable in a growing company where standards matter Why Join Premier Quality Homes? - Direct access to ownership and leadership influence - Opportunity to shape systems and long-term growth - Strong company reputation and established trade relationships At Premier Quality Homes, we value professionalism, discipline, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
